Colt McCoy is back with the Cleveland Browns as he took part in the team’s voluntary offseason conditioning program, but he does not know for how long this will last. McCoy took part in the Cleveland Browns voluntary offseason conditioning program on Monday, just a few days following Cleveland’s draft for its successor, Brandon Weeden, the Oklahoma State Quarterback. The Cleveland Browns chose Weeden on Thursday in the first round and they hope to start him as a rookie this season. Weeden, 28, is a former minor league pitcher for the New York Yankees. McCoy therefore would be his backup as the president of the Browns, Mike Holmgren explained this weekend; he can envision McCoy taking on the role as the team’s second Quarterback. This situation could present some difficulties but i... more

Pacers wins game 2 of series against Magic The Pacers have been playing a good defense in their series against the Magic, but they lacked offense in game one. Luckily for Indiana fans, the team did a better job during game two and acquired a valuable 93-78 victory at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday night, which has allowed them to regain some trust for games 3 and 4 at Amway Center in Orlando. Now the Magic is the team with the crowd support, and the Pacers are cautious about feeling overconfident. On this, David West mentioned that "We can't get too high after this victory. They still have an advantage going there. There's room for us to improve and we know it's going to be a tough environment going down there.” 3 Indiana players scored 18 apiece: Danny Granger, Ge... more

When the New York Yankees saw Garcia constantly run in difficulties and breaking his neck trying his best, they decided to make this shift; Phelps, will be the fifth starter for the time being, making his first start on Thursday in Kansas City against the Royals. While the Yankees are waiting for the return of veteran Andy Pettitte on May 10, Phelps will be the team’s long reliever, as he has considerably outpitched Garcia during the first month of the season. In fact, Garcia, who is 0-2, just lasted 13 and 2/3 innings in 4 starts, and his ERA was 12-51. Garcia admitted that bad things happen if a job is not done as it should be, after a start on Saturday in which he found himself lifted in the 3rd inning, this following 6 well deserved runs in Detroit. He just di... more

Peyton Manning is Grateful To The Rockies

Peyton Manning and Todd Helton, the Colorado Rockies’ first baseman, go back a long way, from the days they were at the University of Tennessee in the 90s, and they have been friends ever since. Peyton and Helton’s friendship is still going strong after two decades, so Helton helped to have Manning work out at Coors Field during last summer’s NFL lockout. Much has happened since then; for a start, Manning is not the Quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts anymore, he is now the Quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Also, Michael Cuddyer took his locker. Manning really felt like he was a Rockie for a week: He had his own locker, as Cuddyer is now using his. Manning said that it was great as he really needed a place to work out during the lockout, and that is just what he got. Now he f... more

Bynum was outstanding on win over Denver Andrew Bynum tied Hakeem Olajuwon and Mark Eaton’s NBA playoff record for blocked shots with 10 and the Lakers outlasted the Nuggets 103-88 at Staples Center on Sunday. Bynum also had ten points and 13 rebounds, which allowed the player to acquire the first triple double in a playoff game for LA since Magic Johnson did it back in 1991. "Monstrous. He was an absolute beast down there." said Lakers Coach Mike Brown referring to Bynum’s outstanding performance. This is the sixth playoffs series disputed between these two teams, with LA having won the last 5, and if the past is a sign of what’s coming, then the Lakers are destined to make it to the next round, though it is still too early to say anything concrete. Also for LA, ... more

NBA Playoffs: Sad Win For Bulls, Heat Demolished Knicks

Sad win from Bulls over Sixers as they lost Rose for the season The 23 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists from Derrick Rose during the 103-91 victory of the Bulls over the Sixers in game one of their current playoffs series were the last for the player as he suffered a tear in an anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, which put an end to a season which has been a tough one for Rose, who missed a total of 27 games due to ankle, foot and groin injuries. The incident took place with just 30 seconds left in the game, and it is certain that Coach Tim Thibodeau will be harshly criticized for having Rose inside the court with less than a minute to play and Chicago up by double digits. Rose’s absence is substantially diminishing the chances of Chicago of getting the NB... more

The Bobcats could not beat the Knicks even though they were resting their starters, and finished with a 104-84 loss on Thursday night, the lowest winning percentage in the history of the league. The Knicks scored 22 points thanks to J.R. Smith, and on the win, Knicks interim coach Mike Woodson, who is now 18-6 since he took over for Mike D’Antoni: “I couldn’t be happier, it was like a regular season but just a playoff basketball time, they are going to be ready.” Gerald Henderson gave the Bobcats 21 points. They were left with a winning percentage of .106 with 7-59 in the lockout-shortened season.  This record dates from 39 years ago as the Philadelphia 76ers finished 9-73 (.110) in the 1972-1973 full regular season. Henderson said: “Finishing 7-59 was not our plan. Indeed th... more
