Michael Vick will start final preseason game
Today and in spite of Michael Vick’s recent inconsistent performance, the Philadelphia Eagles announced that he will get to start the final game in the preseason against the New York Jets.
The preseason has been OK for Vick, who was 33.7 in three games, with 133 yards passing, no touchdowns and three interceptions.
His first preseason game was gold—albeit with a couple of misses–which impressed wide receiver Riley Cooper. However, the next game was a dud, with Vick succeeding only in one attempt and losing the ball twice to the opposing team.
Vick will be a free agent next year; he said he is looking for a main quarterback position. Sadly, his recent performance doesn’t seem to be leading him there just now.
“Any time you have a chance to go out there for two or three quarters and get into a rhythm and get your confidence going and get your blood flowing, that’s always good,” Vick said after practice Tuesday. “I just want to go out and play my game and have fun. I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself. Just try to move the ball, complete passes, manage the game and execute and have some fun out there.”
