JETS - PATRIOTS First drive of the game, the Pats are moving, they look great, methodical, well coached, ready for the Steelers. This game was really just a formality. At this very second, as a Cowboys fan, I was thinking and wishing that our organization needed a Belichick, a real General, no nonsense, benching a starting wide receiver and not even think about it, kinda head coach. I mean this guy has a competitive team every year...BOOM! Snapped out of my daydream, Brady, the poster boy for all America sports, throws a pick and the Pats were really never the same after that! Side note: How does an NFL linebacker NOT score on that play? Alge Crumpler, an aging 34 year old Tight end, catches the guy from behind like he was shot out of a canon to save the pick six! Truth is, I never gave the... more

Two important New York Jets players are injured and their status is uncertain for Sunday’s AFC Divisional Round matchup against the New England Patriots. They are cornerback Drew Coleman and wide receiver/kick returner Brad Smith. Neither player went to practice today. Coleman is struggling with a knee injury while Smith is still recovering from a groin injury. “They are questionable and that’s what I’m going to stay with. Let them figure it out. Both of those guys could be game-time decisions,” New York head coach Rex Ryan said today. If the Jets cornerback can’t play, rookie Kyle Wilson is likely to take his spot on the field. And Smith’s position would likely be taken by starting cornerback Antonio Cromarite. Get information on how to start your business using more

NFL ex-linebacker Lawrence Taylor has admitted in court to pay a 16-year-old prostitute $300 for her services in New York on Thursday. Despite Taylor alleging in court today the old story “She told me she was 19,” truth or not he is in series travels since he will serve six years probation and must register as a sex offender and also paid a $2000 fine. According to a prosecutor Patricia Gunning Taylor’s plea “was of assistance in the field of human trafficking in several jurisdictions and with federal authorities.” Taylor’s attorney Arthur Aidala said Taylor decided the plea in everyone’s best interest. “He could have taken a much more aggressive road, but he decided it was in the best interest of him and his family’s and the young woman’s to put this behind hi... more

The Washington Redskins have signed defensive end Jeff Stehle for the coming season. Stehle, whose practice squad contract with the Broncos expired earlier this week, was not picked in the 2010 NFL Draft and spent most of last season practicing with the Denver Broncos. The St. Louis Rams signed wide receiver/kick returner Andrew Hawkins for their games of the new season. Hawkins, who spent the past two seasons with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL, was practiced with the rest of the Rams squad yesterday. At Tennessee, the Titans have signed wide receiver/kick returner Yamon Figurs and fullback Joe Tronzo for the new season. Most Titans from the practice squad also re-signed for the following season. Tronzo, who recently practiced with the Philadelphia Eagles squad , was signed as an... more

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed up the following practice squad players to future contracts as they prepare for the next season: Wide receiver Jeremy Horne; tight end Cody Slate; guard Darryl Harris; defensive line Bobby Greenwood; linebackers Pierre Walters, Micah Johnson, and Justin Cole. These players signed their contracts for next season yesterday. On the other hand, we have linebacker Dion Gales who didn’t renew his contract with the Chiefs for the coming season. For Baltimore, there is good news, because the Ravens have added a highly valued player to their roster for next season. I’m talking about wide receiver James Hardy. James Hardy was originally selected in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills and has played with the Cincinnati Bengals... more

New Orleans Saints star running back Reggie Bush ended the season with an aggravated injury after leaving the first half of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. “If we were playing this week he would be out. He’s going to need two to three weeks, nothing surgical. Just the contusion from where it was injured before,” Saints head coach Sean Payton said. Reggie Bush is a Saints player since the 2006 season, with whom he won the Super Bowl XLIV. Bush has received many awards but most of them have been forfeited due to lawsuits. He was featured on the cover of NCAA Football 2007, and ranked #24 on ESPN's 25 Greatest Players in College Football list. Other two Saints running backs were placed on the injured/reserve list last week: Pierre Thomas and rookie Chris Ivory “There’... more

Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes in yesterday’s 21-16 wild-card victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Then, from the sideline, he celebrated with joy when Tramon Williams intercepted Michael Vick’s pass in the end zone, thus clinching the team’s victory. “Well, in all my time being a football fan, I have never seen one player win a game all by himself,” Rodgers said to the press. “It is a tough position as a quarterback to be on the sidelines and not be able to have an impact on that play,” he went on, “just hoping that the defense comes up with a stop.” Aaron Rodgers was drafted in the first round (24th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, where he set several school records, including lowest i... more
